9 days into the new year. the last day of the year was not a lonely day after all. in fact, it was a great day and night, and that person that i was holding out to do something with, i spent a good portion of that evening with them. God is amazing and He loves to come in and save the day and be the champion.
lot's of things to think about and explore these first 9 days. lot's of things to contemplate. always wondering about my place in this world and needing to feel like i am ready to reach out and grab the opportunities. sometimes i have urges to to great and incredible things, but mostly long for a simple life with a beautiful wife, children and a little cabin close to the mountains with lots of land. the other place i would love to be is a simple place on the beach with lots of shoreline for walking.
a family and a simple life, with adventures together that would make the most traveled person envy.
i do know this, i love the thought of family, i always have. family is my strongest desire after intimacy with God. i think it's rightly so, for intimacy with God causes you to want and desire those things that He loves so much. family is up there on the top of His list, if you disagree then why is it so important to you to be called His child? yeah, God loves family. the simple life remembering the pioneers of old when family was why you did the things you did. how cool that family is supposed to be the thing that, only second to God, everything revolves around.
family, why is it that it's the thing that gets pushed aside until you get the rest of your life figured out. it would seem that one would want to figure their life out WITH the person that they will spend it with the rest of their days here. instead we search for a person that can accept and be a part of what we have already made our life into. maybe that mix up in priorities is the very reason that half don't work out. it's not really such a big deal if you figure yourself out if instead you figure life out together. all this emphasis on who we are and how we work doesn't really matter if who you are doesn't work with others. isn't it more important that we figure out who we are with others and then we will know more about what of us to keep and what to throw away.
